Habakkuk 3: Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
This morning, I read Habakkuk’s prayer.
I found myself just taken away in the words I was reading. It beautifully describes God’s wondrous actions.
3 His glory covered the heavens
and his praise filled the earth.
4 His splendor was like the sunrise;
rays flashed from his hand,
where his power was hidden.
It’s just so poetic.
I’m not one who typically appreciates poetry as much as I should. But, wow it was beautiful.
I could close my eyes and just picture the words illustrated in my mind. The divine sunsets, the roaring thunder, the dazzling stars, the crashing waves…
Living in Hawaii, I have the luxury of being reminded of these magnificent creations every time I step outside. I am an avid hiker and it is impossible to not just be overtaken by the “awe” every time I see that breathtaking ocean view from the top of God’s unimaginably perfectly formed mountains.
I gaze out at the ocean and I am reminded of how small I really am and how BIG God is! I gaze out at the ocean and I am reminded of how small I really am and how BIG God is!
It leaves me in awe…
When I go hiking I am in awe too at his magical and wonderful gift He has created and given.
