The Unique Blogger Award:

It has taken me a while to respond to this award. It doesn’t lessen how appreciative I am of it. I am so honored to know that I have impacted others enough to be nominated for such a great award! In the mean time, I was nominated again by another fellow blogger friend. So, today, I am going to combine and do both together!

First off, Wind Kisses…your blog never disappoints me. I really enjoy seeing what photos you are going to share from your adventures. I feel like we are alike in so many ways which draws me to your blog posts! Thank you for being such an active part of my blog as well!

Secondly, The Girl Versus World…her poems are so raw and so real. I enjoy reading her deep, meaningful words. I can tell each line is written with so much thought and emotion. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already!

Questions from Wind Kisses:

1.What are your blogging rituals? (ie. Writers cap, coffee, a
specific place)

I always blog over a cup (or 2…today it’s 3 YIKES!) of coffee. I like to write while I sit on my front porch. I know you (Wind Kisses) can relate to the appreciation of the outdoors. It’s my happy place and thus where I enjoy spending my time blogging!

2. Do you have a blog post that is unique to you?

Each of my blog posts are written from my heart. I try to be as transparent as I can be. My most recent post would be about my new found love of “mom jeans” and how I no-longer am trying to “fit in” and am just embracing WHO I am and loving the body I have-no matter what shape it is! Shhhh! 3. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Ooooh… I just said, I like to be honest. So, here is the proof…my guilty pleasure is sneaking a handful of fresh baked cookies before I tell the kids they are out of the oven! YIKES!

1.If you have not been here (if not a writer) then what have you have been doing?

Before I started blogging, I lead a mom group called MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). You can read about my transition from leading this amazing group to blogging and why I transitioned here: End of a Season

2. The last movie you saw and what you liked the most about that movie?

Most of the movies I watch are with the kids. I don’t watch TV much. However, I did just start watching Prison Break on Netflix 😉

3. What is your all time favorite music?

I listen to contemporary Christian music. I have been a big fan of KLOVE radio for years! It keeps my thoughts positive and encourages me every day! Best of all, I hear my kids choosing to listen to it on their own in their rooms. I never have to worry about them listening to something “inappropriate” or repeating something kids should’t be saying because they heard it on the radio.
