Hi, I’m Lacy—wife to a now-retired Navy man, mom to two amazing teenagers, and a Nebraska native who’s journeyed coast to coast and back again. For over a decade, I lived the ever-changing life of a Navy wife, moving from Nebraska to the Pacific Northwest to Florida and to Hawaii. I always dreamed of living near the ocean—and thanks to God’s wild sense of humor—I got to do just that!
You’ll find posts here from those early years—when I was knee-deep in diapers, deployments, and preschool playdates. I took a long (and much-needed) break from blogging as life moved quickly and motherhood shifted. But now, I’m back—writing from a new place, both literally and personally—as I navigate the teen years, embrace a slower pace, and rediscover what lights me up.
These days, life looks different. We’ve traded military life for Midwest roots. My little ones are now teenagers (how did that happen?). It’s a new season with new challenges and joys—but still full of purpose, growth, and moments worth sharing.
