John 4:14 says “but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
The other day, I shared about how we make idols when we lack faith. (You can read that post here.) I think it closely relates to today’s verse as well.
God must really be wanting me to dig deeper into the concept of HIM being the ONLY THING TO FILL VOIDS WITHIN US!
Recently, I let go of a leadership position within my church. It was with the MOPS ministry which I had been part of for 7 years. (you can read more about that story Here: End of a Season)
This morning, I woke up searching God’s word for what He wants to fill that new hole in my life.
Today is the last day of school for my daughter. My son has about a week to go. Football, basketball and dance are all done for the summer now too. I’m excited to have them both home more.
I am going to take the summer to refresh my walk with Christ as well as focus more on my kids now that I have less obligations distracting me.
I think God wants me to just slow down and be still for awhile. Focus on HIM and clear out the distractions.
Starting today, I will be more focused on the only thirst quenching water…that which comes from Christ!
