Looking for a craft that makes you look like you’re creative AND you have your life together? These pressed flower vases are the perfect project for your next Girls’ Night get together or just a quiet night at home. They’re super simple to make (no actual artistic talent required 😅), but the finished result looks like something you casually picked up at a cute little boutique and definitely didn’t make in your kitchen. When I say no experience required, I mean it. One of my friends had never used Mod Podge before and was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to work with. Before long, she was a Mod Podge expert!
🌸 How to Make Pressed Flower Vases
Supplies Needed:
- Clean glass vase (Dollar Tree)
- Pressed or dried flowers (Amazon, Michaels, Hobby Lobby)
- Mod Podge
- Small paintbrush
- Tweezers (optional, but helpful!)

Step 1: Clean Your Vase
Make sure your vase is clean and completely dry before starting. Any dust or fingerprints can keep the flowers from sticking well.
Step 2: Plan Your Design
Before adding any glue, place your pressed flowers on the vase to get an idea of where you want everything to go. This helps you avoid over-handling the delicate petals later.
Step 3: Apply a Thin Layer of Mod Podge
Using your brush, lightly brush a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the area where you want your first flower.
Step 4: Add Your Flowers
Carefully place your pressed flower onto the glued area. Tweezers can make this part much easier! Gently smooth the flower down so all edges are flat against the glass.
Step 5: Seal It In
Once the flower is in place, brush another thin layer of Mod Podge over the top to seal it. Be gentle—too much brushing can tear the petals.
Step 6: Repeat
Continue layering flowers around the vase until you’re happy with your design.
Step 7: Let Dry
Allow your vase to dry completely (dries pretty quickly).

And that’s it! You now have a custom pressed flower vase that looks like it came from a charming little home decor shop—but cost way less and comes with bragging rights. Go ahead and casually mention, “Oh this? I made it.” every time someone compliments it (which they will). Just try not to immediately point out the one flower that went rogue… we don’t need to talk about her. 💁♀️🌸
Before anyone arrives at my Girls’ Craft Nights, I always like to pray for each friend and write them out a Bible verse to take home…this time, I chose a simple yet powerful verse: Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine.” Now, when I light a candle in this, I have a pretty reminder that, like these flowers weren’t meant to stay hidden in a book forever, we’re not meant to hide either. In Matthew 5:16, we’re reminded to let our light shine—and sometimes that looks less like doing something huge and more like creating something beautiful, inviting people in, and sharing a little joy right where we are. Even a simple craft night can be a way to brighten someone’s day.

So whether you’re making these for your home, a gift, or just an excuse to hang out with your favorite people—don’t forget that even the small, simple things can shine.
With Love and Aloha,
Lacy
